I'm pretty sure there's a technical service bulletin for this... Something about the blower control module shorts internally... Yep, just found it. TSB 04-01-39-009B shows a replacement blower module for this problem. And yes, it will have to be programmed. Good luck

I have a 2005 chevy avalanche and the heater ac dose not work changed the blower anad resistor still dont work any suggestions

The blower switch in the dash may be the problem here, remove the panel and check the switch for signs of overheating and discoloration.

How do you fix a radio staying on after the door is opened on a 2005 chevy avalanche

There is a door activated switch which needs to be replaced. When faulty they do not activate and the radio will not switch off.

Otherwise you can just turn the radio off manually before leaving the car and you will not have to worry about replacing anything.

My chevy avalanche aircon blower will not start on 1st to 4th only works on 5th speed. Chevy Avalanche 2003 model with 5.3 L

Sounds like a blower motor resistor. Not an expensive part, fairly easy for a mechanic to change. Located usually behind the glove box door.

2005 chevy avalanche a/c works intermittently and blower stays on after engine is off

It sounds like you have a short in the wiring, it might be tough to find unless you are willing to start pulling off panels and tracing wire

Where is the blower motor resister on a 2005 chevy avalanche

from pictures I'm seeing, it looks like it's next to the blower. Remove the insulating panel above the passenger's feet and look up. See if it looks like the picture below:

2005 Chevy Avalanche - my heater contol turns the fan off when I put it on #5......works fine on 1, 2, 3, and 4, but as soon as I turn it to 5 ....it stops.....

Motor switch has gone out, most likely due to high load on level 5. Replace switch and I suggest lubricating blower motor bearing to help take the strain on the system.

Blower stays on when ignition is turned of.

The sensor is probably defective as it keeps the fan on regardless of water temp. Get it replaced.
