Do you know if there were car alarms for 2004 Jeep Wranglers that have softtops where you can unzip the windows? or if one could be installed? Thank you Dottie

There is a 50amp fuse marked number 12 in the fuse box in the engine compartment that powers the windows.
I don't have anything on the alarm.

All wranglers do this. There are solid metal hood latches that hold the hood tight, but I've never used them on my Jeeps and they all do this on the highway.

The best fix is to install the two piece OEM manifold from the later model (2000's) wranglers. There are also manifolds with accordian type flex joints for sale on line that will last MUCH longer than the one piece OEM manifolds.

DO NOT TRY TO FIX IT....an unsafe belt is like a gun with the safety off.please replace it asap.its an easy job to do,just remove the trim and the bolts are in front of you....

the wiper needs to be tighten some more, there is a nut that holds the wiper to the motor tight that nut.

You will need to purchase the Hardware kit also. The softtop does not come with it. It runs around $150. That is if you dont have one already. With this installed the softtop will be easy to put on

did you change the transmission fluid

Stop by your local Jeep dealership and ask teh service tech to go over the schematic and wiring diagram with you.
Most Jeep service depts. are quite helpful and won't charge you for knowledge.
Then head over to NAPA and get the parts for cheap.
If you are restoring to factory specs for show car purposes, you should get the MOPAR parts right from the dealer.
Most of the time the Jeep Wranglers have the wiring already in place, you just have to know where to look for the unused plug. At least that's how it is with my 2007 JKL Rubicon.

there is a company called quadratec they make cool stuff for jeeps. go one the web and look it up. cherokee's Grands and wranglers. they have alot of stuff to make the jeep look good. and replacement panels and plastic and diamond plate trim. enjoy.
