LOCATIONS There are different locations in the exhaust system where O2sensors are positioned. The locations have been given numbers and will be used in the accompanying charts to identify the positions of O2sensors in most vehicles. Due to mid-year production changes or factory inconsistencies, all models may not be covered. If a vehicle being serviced is not covered in the charts, inspect the exhaust system (while cold!) in the general locations to find the applicable O2sensors. NOTE: If equipped with dual exhaust systems, there may be up to 4 or 5 O2sensors in the exhaust system. Be sure to locate all of them before commencing with any testing or service. Where is the bank 1 sensor 1 o2 sensor located on my 2000 toyota camry v6 3.0l le? A diagram would be most helpful.

There are two exhaust manifolds. The manifold closest to the firewall (or rear of engine) is where you want to look. Bank one is always the head that has Cylinder 1. Sensor one is always the O2 sensor before the CAT or inlet side of the CAT. Bank 1 Sensor 1 is also called The Upstream sensor. This sensor screws into the exhaust manifold, before the CAT.

What does toyota codes PO037 and PO136 mean?

P0037 is "Heater Control Circuit Low Bank 1 Sensor 2".
P0138 is "Oxygen Sensor High Voltage".

It sounds like it's time to check the connector to your oxygen sensor, and probably replace it (the O2 sensor).

O2 sensor?

O2 sensors are always after the cat converter and HO2S sensors are always before the cat converter.
p0135 refers to heated oxygen sensor(HO2S) 1 bank 1-heater control--circuit malfunction
If it is a straight 6 cylinder engine with 2 cat converters it will be the sensor before the cat converter that connects to the manifold from pistons 1.2.3
If it is a V6 it will be the sensor that is in front of the cat converter that connects to the rear bank pistons 1.2.3. Use the special socket when removing/replacing the sensors to prevent wiring damage

Question; Is the right side of a 2006 Toyota Tacoma V6 engine on the driver side or passenger side?

the banks of a v engine are determined from the drivers seat in a convention car and in a east-west car the no 1 bank is closest to the firewall so from the drivers seat no 1 bank will be in front of the driver ( LH drive cars) or in front of the passenger in RH drive cars

My 2000 Toyo. Tacoma Prerunner TRD V6, truck Failed smog due to the part #3 Functional Computer Tests due to an erased MIL. But had passed the Visual Inspection, and Emissions. So i bought a Code reader...

there are 2 sensors in the system
one is a heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) in the exhaust manifold / pipe before the cat converter that reports the exhaust gas composition to the ECM so that fuel/ air ratios can be adjusted
if that one is faulty it is most likely the reason for running lean or rich
the second sensor is the oxygen sensor (O2) which is after the cat converter and reads the results of the cat converter cleaning the exhaust
you may have to replace both the sensors to get a clearance or replace the cat converter as well as the HO2S unit

2002 Tacoma: egr valve in 2002 tacoma...

V6 5vzfe Tacoma's does not have EGR valves. All the controlling is compensated by the o2 sensors; therefore, the o2 needs to be replaced at 100K to avoid a bad CAT converter.
