I think your sensors are pattern parts and the readings /resistances are not the same as the original parts ,try some bosch units is my first suggestion ,

Collin, Please help! I have the same issue (clear code drive 25+miles no check eng light, next start comes right back on). I did replace both right bank sensors with bosch parts. On a "OBD" scan I get the 1/4 code P0016 2/4 code P0017 3/4 code P0016 and 4/4 code P00017. In the scan mode on my code reader I get 1/2 DTC 1208 CONSTANT ADJUSTMENT OF INTAKE CAMSHAFT OF RIGHT CYL BANK IN DIRECTION "RETARDED" (P0016) and 2/2 DTC 1200 CONSTANT ADJUSTMENT OF EXHAUST CAMSHAFT OF RIGHT CYL BANK IN DIRECTION "RETARDED" (P0017)

spectra not spectra5
no engine size told. hummmm, 2.0L Automatic?
autozoned parts are junk, china cloned parts are.
so guessing and adding bad parts gets you where? double bad now.

BOOK words to follow

Trouble Code: P0016 (2.0L L4 VIN - Auto)
Crankshaft Position - Camshaft Position Correlation (Bank 1 Sensor A)and read this.
The CVVT (Continuously Variable Valve Timing) system is installed to the chain sprocket of the intake camshaft. This system controls the intake camshaft to provide the optimal valve timing. The PCM controls the Oil Control Valve(OCV), based on the signals output from mass air flow, throttle position and engine coolant temperature. The CVVT controller regulates the intake camshaft angle using oil pressure through the OCV. PCM monitors timing misalignment while no active faults are present and fully warmed up engine oil at idle. If the timing is misaligned PCM determines that a fault exists and a DTC is stored. Possible Causes:
  • * Oil level, pressure and condition
  • * OCV
  • * CVVT
  • * Timing mark alignment
note their words, 4 thing wrong, here, VVT is bad.

cam shaft sensor error is
Trouble Code: P0340 (2.0L L4 VIN - Auto)
Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction and you never got that code,

Getting p0016 code

Crankshaft Position - Camshaft Position Correlation
What does this mean? OBD Code P0016refers to
The crankshaft position sensor (CKP) and Camshaft position sensor (CMP) work in harmony to control the spark/fuel delivery and timing. They both consist of a reluctor, or tone, ring which passes over a magnetic sensor, which generates a voltage, indicating position. The crankshaft sensor is part of the primary ignition system and functions as the "trigger". It detects the position of the crankshaft relays that information on to the PCM or the ignition module (depending on the vehicle) to control spark timing. The Camshaft position sensor detects the position of the camshafts and relays the information to the PCM. The PCM uses the CMP signal to identify the beginning of the injector sequence. What ties these two shafts and their sensors together is the timing belt or chain. The cam and crank should be precisely timed together. If the PCM detects that the Crank and Cam signals are out of time by a specific number of degrees, this P0016 code will set.
Symptoms Possible sumptoms of OBD code P0016
Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination The engine may run but with reduced performance The engine may crank but not start The engine may exhibit a rattle near the harmonic balancer indicating the tone ring is damaged The engine may start and run, but poorly
Causes Possible causes of OBD code P0016
Timing chain stretched, or timing belt skipped a tooth due to wear Misalignment of timing belt/chain Tone ring on crankshaft slipped/broken Tone ring on camshaft slipped/broken Bad crank sensor Bad cam sensor Damaged wiring to crank/cam sensor Timing belt/chain tensioner damaged
Possible Solutions First, visually inspect the cam and crank sensors and their harnesses for damage. If you notice broken/frayed wires, repair and recheck. If you have access to a scope, check the cam and crank patterns. If a pattern is missing, suspect a bad sensor or a slipping tone ring. Remove the cam gear and the crankshaft harmonic balancer and inspect the tone rings for proper alignment and make sure they're not loose or damaged or that they haven't sheared the key that aligns them. If they are properly installed, replace the sensor. If the signal appears normal, then check the timing chain/belt for proper alignment. If it's misaligned, check for a damaged tensioner that may have allowed the chain/belt to slip a tooth or several teeth. Also check that the belt/chain isn't stretched. Repair and recheck.

My car shut off while driving, computer codes are P0562, P0340, P0700, P0016 I need help

P0016 is for camshaft/crankshaft misalignment. You should check and verify that the timing chain is still intact and that the cam/crank timing is correct. If the engine is cranking really fast and does not sound like there is compression, it is probable that this chain/chains have jumped &/or broken.

Toyota avensis fault code p0016 and p0016 codes will clear drive 5 miles mil light comes back on replaced cam and crank sensor

Crank/cam misaligned timing can be due to a slack timing belt jumping a tooth on a cog. Check that the belt is tight and that the timing marks on belt align with the cam and crank pulley timing marks.

Ml350 camshaft sensor problem

I think you need to post a little more information for someone to be of help. Cam Position Sensor and Crank Position Sensor problems are not uncommon on these cars (although you see more Crank Position Sensors go than Cam). Replacing them is not too difficult, if you have some mechanical skill. Just make sure your problem really is with the sensor before you start replacing parts. The sensors cost between $60 and $175 (depending on which and where you purchase it). If you have a specific code that you pulled from an ODB II reader, then start with that. If your check engine light is on, but you don't have an ODB II reader, then try your local parts store. Most will read codes for free.
