I have a 2002 nissan sentra spec v with 100,100 miles on it, when I run the car the cabin begins to smell like burnt fuel or burnt oil not too sure. No smoke is visible but the smell is a problem....when I open the hood there is no visible smoke anywhere, the car does not overheat.

You may have a exhaust leak. Try this, you'll need another person. With a rag block off the exhaust pipe while running the engine look under the hood and listen for a air leak. This may narrow it down.

Get the exhaust system inspected / checked . You may have a hole in it and exhaust fumes are coming into the cabin somehow.
Carbon monoxide poisoning may be a problem that may lead to fatal consequences.

I think it is behind the glove box. you have to take the glove box out. sometimes the sides push together and it falls to the floor. it is behind there.

If you love the car as you say than be prepaired to shell out the bucks for a rebuild or replacement engine, because thats the only fix for your situation. You may not see any blue smoke but believe me its burning it, or you got a leak witch you say you don't. Its going someware and most likely its out the exhaust.

Smoke smells when ac on nissan sentra

The speed control of your fan has resisters that are in the venting system to blow air on them to keep them cool. If they overheat and or burn you will lose your low and medium speeds of the fan. If you run the fan at full see if the smell goes away. Your engine could be burning oil on the outside of the engine block, make sure that the weatherstrip where your hood meets the fresh air intake grill is sealing tight.

I need to change oil in my 2002 nissan sentra, but I am not sure how to choose the oil?The car have 104,000 mil.Is full synthetic ok?

Fully synthetic is okay (but pretty expensive) as long as the viscosity is correct. (5w30 or something like that). The viscosity is located within your owners manual.

Hi, I have Nissan sentra 2002 gxe. After how many miles should i give the car in service? Which kind of service should I ask for? Thanks

Every 10,000 miles partial service; change engine oil and filter, air and fuel filter's, spark plug's and check brakes fluid pipes and pad's. Every 50,000 full service. partial service plus change cambelt, check gear diff and power steering oils. Owners manual or any mechanic will let you know oil grades etc.

I have a 2004 Nissan Sentra SER and 2 months ago i started burning oil i only have 60,000 miles on the car and other than the oil the car runs great. any suggestions on what it might be?

most cars will burn about a quart between oil changes when they get a few miles on them this pretty normal as long as you dont see black smoke or oil on the ground i would say its fine

Hello, I have a 2002 nissan sentra, 1.8 ltr..and the car sundenly has started acting as if it is not getting fuel, sometimes it runs fine for about 15 minutes, stopping and going as it should, then it will...

You will need to run a fuel pressure test on it to see if your fuel pressure is correct. How many miles are on the car and when was the last time the fuel filter was replaced.
