It most likely has a dead spot in the starter. Check the connections at the battery and starter, if they check out ok the starter is bad.

How old is your battery? Have you had starting issues before. My experience has been that probably 80% of these issues are battery related. Usually a cell in the battery starts dying off and thats when the trouble starts. You could also have a bad connection in the battery terminals. You can have a load test done at most garages or if the battery is older than 3-4 years, I would go buy a new battery and start there. Make sure you clean your connections.

Hi Angela. it sounds like you have a belt proble causing your alternator to not charge your battery AND your water pump and fan to not cool properly. Inspect your belts first. If you have more questions please ask me!

Sounds like you have a battery issue but could be the alternator wasnt charging it also last u drove and ran the battery down the best way to go is remove the battery from your trunk and take it into either a parts store or battery store and have them test it may take a while as they may have to charge it first to get a valid test so plan on dropping it off early in the day and returning a couple hours later if the battery tests ok after a full charge then reinstall it and should start with a full charge and then return to either your parts or battery store and they should be able to do a on car alternator test

When i turn the key I hear 1 click and that is it. It doesn't try to turn over or start. The door buzzer and all the lights work which is why i was thinking it might not be the battery but i kept it...

Sounds like a bad ground. Check all the wires from battery, paying attention to wires on the starter. If your lights dim when trying to start, it is at your battery, clean your battery connections. Bad batteries do strange things. Local auto store will test battery for you. Good Luck, JERROD

Last week, my 1998 Lexus ES300 wouldn't start (clicking sound) and I thought it was the battery. I jump started it but noticed that it still made the clicking sound, for my first couple of tries, it did...

If car wont start and clicking sound is heard this is a battery related or starter related, if your car battery is in good condition (which I think it was) then the problem is your starter, have it check to confirm.

1999 Dodge intrepid tries to turn over but won't/can't. Everything turns on electronically that's supposed to, brand new battery.

clicking sound heard? starts fast then slows down as you crank over engine?ok try this --at the starter there is an electrical connection -- B+red wire and a smaller wire make sure these connections are tight. if ok proceed to next step--if you hear a low clicking sound when you turn the key and when trying to jump start the car still hear a click sound have someone tap on starter while you try to start it --- if car starts the starter solenoid is bad, anything more please write me back, Lee Davidian

When i turn the start key jn my Nissan Primers (52 reg)it tries to start then a click is heard and the electrics turn off. I turn the key off and it all resets, i try starting again and a click is heard...

The clicking usually means that the battery does not have enough charge to start the engine. Try just turning on the ignition and starting the windscreen wipers. If they move really slowly then your batter is low. Try recharging the battery for a few hours using a car battery charger. Try to the start the engine again after it is fully charged. If this works but then the battery goes flat again, you may have a problem with the alternator, or the battery is not correct for the car (the bigger the engine, the heavier duty the battery.

The clicking sounds like a low battery. Either that or the relay on your remote start is bad. A bad battery can damage your alternator after continued use. It could also be a failing starter. Your husband disconnected your battery and it started? What did it start from?

It sounds like a battery cable is bad. It could be corroded or have a bad connection. Both cables,(positive or negative) could cause this.
