If the idle mixture screw ( idle screw) does not make a difference it is because the idle circuit is blocked . Check the jets for dirt / water . Blow out the system with compressed air.. The mixture is already set by the time it gets to the screw and you are only increasing or decreasing the volume allowed into the engine . There will be no "O" ring but there should be a spring under the head of the screw.

Check the fuel pressure, it might be the fuel pump have to replace.

maybe ur altinator mate,check the charging,and tighten ur timing belt i guess,try it

Hello! Idle speed control is controlled through by the Idle Air Control (IAC) motor or IAC valve...See diagram below...it is probably fouled with carbon...If engine will not idle properly...It is easily removed...Clean with throttle body cleaner..Guru...Saailer

Since the 91 model is obd1 there is no scan tool that can be hook up to it,but on the right kickpanel there is a two pin connector you can jump with a simple tool like a paper clip with the key on and the engine not running and this will cause the the mil to blink your code you will get a two different blinks a long one and a short one you combine both to get the code.example two long ones followed by one short is a code 21.

MY DAUGHTER HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. THERE IS A HOSE THAT GOES FROM THE VALVE COVER TO THE FUEL INJECTOR HOUSING. ITS ABOUT 12 INCHES LONG. THERE WAS A TINY LITTLE TEAR ON THE BOTTOM THAT I COULDNT SEE. I REPLACED IT WITH FUEL LINE TUBING THAT I BOUGHT FROM AUTOZONE. IT WORK PERFECT. I HOPE THIS IS YOUR PROBLEM. IT TOOK ABOUT 2 MINUTES TO FIX.
