The 67 289. Right (passenger) side, 1-2-3-4, left (drivers) side 5-6-7-8. Firing order, 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 cc. This should also be cast into the intake manifold in front of carb. Also, dist rotation is counter clockwise as your looking at motor from front, and #1 should be at approx 1 Oclock position. Most dist caps will have it marked.

Thank you. Somewhat helpful. Just got another source answer that firing order is 1,3,7,2,6,5,4,8. But your order listed maybe dist. cap layout, cc. I will check and now have to confirm both sources. but thank you.

hi thank you. it appears as you stated. wires are layout properly and rotor is cc. manifold is marked. so everything looks good. was just checking, because car is running rough when in gear and stopped at red light for example. its either carberator adjustment problems and timing adjustment issues. car runs good when accellerating out on road, is getting terrible gas mileage. engines been tuneup, putting in electronic ignition soon, anyhow thanks for confirming wiring order and layout.

2003 ford windstar spark plug wires diagram

I\'m assuming you have the 3.8 engine, although i believe the firing order is the same on all there v6 sideways mounted front wheel drive Windstars. That firing order is 1-4-2-5-3-6, with 1-2-3 going from left to right on the back side of the engine and 4-5-6 left to right on the front side of the engine.Looking straight down at the coil from the front of the car,you\'ll see 2 rows of coil terminals. The row on the right side is 1-2-3 going from top to bottom, row on left side is 6-5-4 going from top to bottom. Hook the number 1 coil terminal to the number 1 spark plug ,being careful to use the spark plug wire that is closest in length to the length you need. If your just replacing wires, yuo shouldn\'t have to much trouble. If your nreplacing the spark plugs you will find the ones in the rear, especially the number 2 [the middle one} are pretty difficult without removing the cowling. A total pain brought to you by the designers at Ford!
