My 2006 Honda Pilot had battery disconnected. The display screen on the radio now reads code error. In the past it read Enter Code and allowed me to enter the 5 digit reset code. How do I reset the radio?

My odyssey 2003 is showing code err for the entertainment

Does the radio work at all. or is the cd player the only issue.? most of the time you need to enter a radio code to unlock the radio. If you enter it wrong to many times it will display error on the display.if you dont know the code then you can call the dealership and get the code after you do the following below to get the serial number.
Press and hold 1 and 6 on the radio while still holding the 1 and 6 press the power button. At this time it will read off serial number

My 2005 Honda pilot had battery disconnected then read code and now says error? I tried putting in radio code still error?

Sounds like you have the wrong code, maybe the radio was replaced? Hold preset buttons 1 and 6 then turn on the radio. It will display the radio serial #, 4 digits then 4 more. Dealer can get you the code. Or you can register at the owners site online and get the code yourself.

Your vehicle's audio system may disable itself if it is disconnected from electrical power for any reason.
To make it work again, you must enter a specific five-digit code with the preset buttons.
Because there are hundreds of number combinations possible from the five
digits, making the system work without knowing the exact code is nearly impossible.

You should have received a radio code card that lists your audio system's code and serial numbers. {glove box find}
It is best to store this card in a safe place at home. In addition, you should write the audio system's serial number in this owner's manual.

If you lose the card, you must obtain the code number from your dealer.
To do this, you will need the audio system's serial number.

If your vehicle's battery is disconnected or goes dead, or the radio

you will see ''ENTER CODE'' in the frequency display (on the screen on models with navigation system) the next time you turn on the system.
Use the preset buttons to enter the five-digit code. The code is on the radio code card included in your owner's manual kit.
When it is entered correctly, the radio will start playing.

If you make a mistake entering the code, do not start over; complete the
five-digit sequence, then enter the correct code. You have 10 tries to enter the correct code.
If you are unsuccessful in 10 attempts, you
must then leave the system on for 1 hour before trying again.

The system will retain your AM and FM presets even if power is disconnected. {only on newer cars'

I have a 1999 honda odyssey, the radio needs to have the reset number put in, but it says radio err.. anyway to reset it so i can put in the code??

yes if you have the code and the display reads error then you need to reset the audio unit. to reset you can disconnect the neg and pos battery cables hold them so they are touching each other for approx 30 seconds. reinstall cables and the error message on the audio unit sounds be cleared and you can now enter you code. if it still reads error then there may be internal damage to the audio unit- hope this helps

What are the codes for chevy anti-theft radio

If the radio display reads "code" then simply use theradio preset buttons, enter the code in the correct order, and the radio will unlock. If, however, the radio reads "Err" or "Code Err" It's likely that someone has made several attempts to unlock the radio using incorrect codes. In that case you will need to disconnect and reconnect the negative battery cable. This will reset the radio and allow you to enter your code. If you lost the code, you may retrieve it from https://radio-navicode.honda.com/
The code they gave me was 2246, but I had to add an 1 at the end of it to get it to work, so the end of it was 24461. Yours will be different.
