Yes, actuator--black box with motor and gears inside that rotates the blend door. I think yours is right on the front of the heater box, to the right of center under dash. Remove actuator and check door for proper operation. If it opens and closes smoothly by hand, replace the actuator. If the door is sticking, you will probably have to take the heater box out of the car, split it open, and repair whatever is keeping it from opening.
I have detailed pictures of a 2005 with the dash removed. If you can respond to my post, I can send the pictures to you. I can't find out how to post more on here... Hope I can help.
Mike! I, too, need your help. Could you send me the images, please? Send them to: doon2000(at)gmx.net Thanks a million!
Mike! I could also use your help. Could you please send me the images you have? Send them to: doon2000(at)gmx.net if the email here doesn't work. Thanks!
I changed my thermostat in my kia sedona 2004 and still blows cold air on hot and the actuator is working properly too what else could it be
Check to see if the heater hoses are getting hot in the engine compartment. If not, maybe there is air in the system. Park uphill, open the radiator or reservoir cap, start the engine and watch for bubbles. Let it get to regular temp and top off coolant.
If the heater hoses are hot, your blend door is not moving properly.
