It keeps overheating, we have changed the top radiator hose and put in new thermostat. Still overheating. Please help

For the heating blowing cold
Air Lock
Low Coolant Level
Blend Door Actuators not working
Water valve not opening, some are electrically operated (fuse?).

When you put in a new thermostat, and refill the system, you have to burp the air out of it. There are videos online, but you fill the system by the radiator (are opposed to the filler bottle) and turn the heater on full to fully open the valve. Then you run the engine and keep topping it up, occasionally squeezing the bottom radiator hose. When the cooling fan kicks in, you know it is up to full running temperature. Rev the engine a few times, and turn off. Then top up one last time and put the radiator filler cap back on. Then top up the coolant reservoir to the line and put the top back on that. All done!

remove cooling flute and thermostat fit1/3 off radiator cleaner with fresh water top up 1/3 more in and 1/3 two days later drive for 1 week and flush your system fit new thermostat new radiator cup and antifreeze .notes radiator blockage after removing the thermostat is,when engine is hot top hose expand and is hotter then the bottom hose notes when the fans engage.

pop off hose at the wrong time =cook the motor

open the car hood. look at the radiator, and then the top radiator hose. follow that hose to the engine. the hose connects to the thermostat housing cap. under that cap is the thermostat. here's what you need: ratchet, and sockets, flat-tip screwdriver, scraper, pliers, a new thermostat (any auto parts store), a new gasket, and some gasket sealant. Question, how old are hoses? if 3 years or old, let change those also. 2 new hose, 4 hose clamps, and some coolant. If we're changing hoses with this, lets start. drain the radiator, and remove the hard hose first, the bottom. now remove the top.hose, and lets start the thermostat. remove the bolts holding down the cap, and gently pry off the cap. flip the cap over, and scrape it clean to metal(we want NO leaks). now reach down and remove the thermostat, and lets scrape the housing clean to metal. place the new thermostat in the housing, and lets put a thin coat of gasket sealant on the housing. place the gasket on the sealant, and pick up the cap. apply a little gasket to the cap. place on top of the gasket, and bolt it down. now hook the hoses(if your changing them)and let sit 30 minutes for the gasket sealant set. after that, let add the coolant, and water. start the car, let it warm up. when the new thermostat opens, add more coolant as need to top it off. What are you going by to say it's overheating , temp gauge ? Have you test to see what the actual temp. is > Hook - up a scan tool ,what's the PCM - engine computer seeing for engine temp. ? 223 degress the PCM should turn on the cooling fan . You could buy a Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer With Laser Targeting at harbor freight ! Radiator very hot ????? What is the right temp .

Could be a bad temp gauge . Is the coolant surging inside the cooling system ? Does it have a radiator cap ? Have you replaced it ?

I too had similar problem when replacing the thermostat on my Z3. My advice is top up with more coolant and check the level.

remove coolant.remove thermostat remove bottom radiator hose to water pump.put a empty container under the radiator.take a water hose put it where thermostat goes flush out the rust in block.watch the water as it come out the water pump .if stream water is small keep flushing until you get a study sream of clear water. also flush out radiator. lower water pressure dont flush radiator it with high water pressure you could burst it. make clean the over flow jug .make sure it not stopped up.put in a new thermostat and radiator pressure cap. fill radiator with half antifreeze and half water.bleed the coolant system.

Hello Ranger Joe, eight months and two radiators is very uncommon. Question, Have you visually confirmed the leak in the radiators or is the leak near the hose connections? Replacing the radiator, cap, water pump, & the thermostat leaves only two others, the hoses and the engine block/heads. Far fitched will be something or somebody poking holes in the radiator.
