I have a 1998 nissan 200 sx 1.6L engine and the car hesitates while accelerating. The engine light is not on and there are no codes. It will accelerate slowly with just a little pressure on the gas pedal. But if you need to speed up quickly, the hesitation is severe. The car starts and idles good. It seems like it is not getting enough fuel while accelerating. I replaced the fuel filter already.

SOULDS LIKE EXCESSIVE EXHAUST BACK PRESSURE CAUSED BY A RESTRICTED CAT CONVERTOR. SHOULD HAVE NO MORE THAN 1.5 TO 3 PSI CHECKED AT THE O2 SENSOR AT IDLE AND AT 2500 RPM. THE CONVERTOR CAN BECOME DAMAGED IF UNBURNT FUEL ENTERS IT. THIS IS CAUSED BY TUNE UP CONCERNS USUALLY.

Those are not valid codes, recheck them. Please check the fuel pressure under a load like accelerating, also check for excessive exhaust flow back pressure due to a plugged catalytic converter.. Also try unplugging the MAF sensor, if it is defective the engine will run better (almost normal with slight hesitation) but the check engine light will come on.

Can I put a muffler system from a 1998 nissan 200 sx on a 1996 nissan sentra?
As a direct replacement, likely not, as these are very different models. The 1.6L engines are similar however, and muffles are the same. Look on rockauto.com for the part numbers.

My nissan 200 sx headlight wont work have canged
Check fuses, Get a tester and see if you actually get power to the lights. If you do get power and the lights don't work anyway then it is likely the light switch located on the steering column( has blinker, and light switch together). common Nissan problem.
