No doubt the control module is out, and it continue to operate when the ignition key is off due to a circuit fault. You can disable it easily by pulling the 60 amp fuse in the under hood fuse box (it is listed on the panel as ABS). Note that this disables the ABS braking feature and traction control, so be very careful when driving. The part can be purchased on the GM global parts site, about $600-$700 for the module. This will be the second time this has gone out for me and GM is not sympathetic, rather "pathetic", for a part to fail so often.

The electronic brake control module will need to be replaced. The realy is inside the module and there is no replacement or repair for the module itself.

2001. Where is ABS system power control relay located?

Ford is fond of placing the power control relay in the under hood fusebox, but there may be a larger problem with the ABS control module which is located on the inside of the driver side frame rail - usually just behind the driver seat. There are some models that have the relay mounted next to the control module.
Hope this helped!!

Hello,
There is a ground wire connected to the engine block. Look for it on the back passenger side of the engine towards the top. Remove it and clean the connection and the wire connector and replace. Sometimes they get real bad and throw the ABS light on. Sometimes a brake light out can throw the ABS light on.

  • You said you rebuilt the ABS module, do you have a short in it you are missing? The bulletin for this originally suggested to replace the module and was corrected because the ground itself was the major offender.
  • Try to reground the EBCM. The code 0265 says "loss of communication with the brake module" The EBCM Ground is located on the frame beneath the driver's side door. If multiple grounds are found in this location, the EBCM ground can be identified as the heavy (12-gauge) wire. Clean the area, front and back, using a Whiz Wheel.

  • Install the ground, then the washer and then the bolt to the frame. Important: It is important to use the bolts, washers and nuts specified in this bulletin. These parts have been identified due to their conductive finish.
  • Install a washer and nut to the back side of the frame.
  • Tighten the nut to 9 N·m (79 lb in).
  • Cover the front and back side of the repair area using Rubberized Undercoating. An additional check can be made to ensure a good connection for the Battery Cable to Frame ground.

I need to know how much a abs control modual costs to fix? where to find the part?

The abs control module is under the driver side of the truck mounted on the inside of the frame rail. look under the truck you will see all the rake lines going into the abs pump the module is located on top of that and is replaced seperatly from the hydraulic section. it is a common problem with chevrolet vehicles. the part will most likely be around 6 to 7 hundred dollars. and keep in mind it has to be programed after instalation so you will have to g to the dealer for programing. hope this helps you.

it means solenoid ev7 electrical malfunction and you probably have faults in the ABS control module as well. unless you have a vag-comm you cant scan them in the ABS solenoid ev7 is a solenoid in the ABS block under the hood and there is no communication from the ABS control module and to the ECM

I do not have a engine lt but my ABS is acting up and I found the code as a 201 ABS relay circuit open/short. master cylinder pressure sensoe. I need to know where the sensor is so I can change it

The master cylinder pressure sensor screws into the side of the master cylinder. But if it has an abs relay circuit open/short code it will need a new electronic brake control module which is bolted to the abs unit about half way down the truck on the inside of the drivers frame rail.
