Drop the gas tank and the inlet to your tank turns. you may need to tap it with a hammer to get it to turn. your fuel pump is in there. make sure you unhook the battery before you start.

it could be a fuel pump they are quite common on the chevy trucks and SUV's. If it has a "Vortec" engine which it probably does, they run whats called a poppet nozzle fuel injecter that requires i think no less than abaout 53 psi of fuel pressure to run, you would have to put a fuel pressure guage on it to be sure and they are quite expensive
