I own a 2003 Dodge Durango. The coolant fan stopped working. I found a plug loose near the fan. Is it possible it came unplugged? If yes, then is the plug inside the fan case? I have looked all over and can not find a place to plug it in. Thanks for you help.

I couldn't find the plug or wire on the diagram on my online resource, either. The fan must have a cable going to it to operate, somehow, though, I agree.

2003 Dodge Dakota is stuck on defrost, only blowing hot air. A/C will not turn in, mirror defrost will not turn on. Just replaced blower motor resistor to fix fan not coming on. Fan is working.

Can you measure and VOLTAGE across the resistor?

Here is a GREAT Link (in my estimation):
How To Test The Blower Motor Resistor 2001 2004 Dakota Durango
Yes it's for a DURANGO but the process may help you!

Joe, have you seen THIS link?

And THIS YOUTUBE?

Also there is this possibility:

What exactly is the "round

that is where your heater core is. Its leaking, or the feed hose to the heater core is leaking. You really need to pull the plastic cover off, just below the dash on the passenger side to look. the heater core looks like a small radiator. If coolant is leaking out of it, replace it. the coolant will cause problems in the long run, if you don't fix it now. After fixing it, steam clean the passenger side of the suv, to stop having a smell, and stop the corrosion. hope this helps

2003 dodge durango, fan willnot run

Have you checked the fans while running the A/C on both high and low speeds? If they don't kick on here, your relays are bad. If they do kick on, I would look into your Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (a two wire wiring harness leads into it and is located near your thermostat housing). If this sensor goes bad, it will not transmit the signal to the PCM telling it to activate the relays.

Overheating 2003 dodge durango. What could be the problem??

When engine running, ensure no engine combustion gas bubbles in coolant resevoir (if so, the head gasket is blown).

Check cooling fans are operating ok (when required when car warms up), if not check
1) fuse,
2) relay operation,
3) heat sensor switch.

Replace thermostat.
When re-filling cooling system, bleed off any airlock as necessary.

Check for collapsing (soft) coolant hose on suction side of waterpump when engine revs above idle.

Horn inop 2003 grand caravan

Yes, it sounds like the connector on the horn could have been accidentally unplugged while the work was being done.

The horn is under the hood very near the front grill on left or right side.

My 2001 dodge durango is overheating an leaking coolant from a round plug type thing in the corner on the passenger side near the windshield

What exactly is the "round plug type thing" near the firewall [passenger side]? Is it a sensor of some type? I, too, have a coolant leak here on my 2001 Durango; its tucked in rather tightly near the hood/firewall corner. My electric fan is not kicking on; vehicle overheated tonight. (4.7 liter)
