First Take a good Ride on the Hiway then check if the car stear left or right then aply brake the let stearing go see if the car pull lef or right... then stop conpletely then aply the brake and put the car on low gear then push on the gas pedal for sleping transmission
come back home then open the hood check for oil color then smell if the motor smel some swetness like leaking prestone ..Then check put hour hand wile the motor run on the end off the muffler the check your hand if it a white ring inside off our hand it ok ..But if it black it losting little bit oil ...if it smoke dont take the car... Also chek the Radiator it-self if it not plug full of debris and also check if the the heater work good ..Sometime the Heater Rad rust and it not to fun to change... unplug the positif cable see if alternator work fine

The only thing you need to check for is the rear frame of the car just after where the springs are,if they are not rotted then i would say the car is a decent buy,the drive train is almost bullet proof but the rear frame is a known failure area.They are a great car otherwise.Also,with the amount of miles on the car you may need an alternator[$180] soon,but that will be about the extent of your problems.
