Go to www.hmaservice.com and register your vehicle by VIN #.. you'll then have access to wiring diagrams, shop & owner manuals, service bulletins, campaigns, illustrations and procedures, etc
follow your fuel lines and you'll find it. you might have to drop the tank as on the 2nd gen accents, (fuel filter in this case is above the tank) and in some vehicules the fuel filter is in the fuel tank itself. in this case before dropping the tank make sure you don't have a lot a gas in it for the obvious reason.
It should be the same general procedure as the 02. Open Glove box and remove contents. Remove glove box stops and or glove box shock on side. With the glove box swung out of the way remove the panel that covers the air filter. Remove and replace filter. Reinstall cover, and glove box stops.
Most late model cars have the filter attached to the pump inside the gas tank. Japanese auto makers love doing this stuff. It depends on the manufacturer as to whether or not it is replacable. If it is, all you have to do is remove the sock and throw a new one on there.
