With a serpentine belt you need to find the belt tensioner. It will be the pulley not attatched to any accessory, it will be bolted into the block with a pulley just beside and below it. The tensioner either has a square hole in it that you slide a 1/2in ratchet into and pull, the belt should slide off. The other style tensioner has a bolt in the center, find the correct socket and again pull(the whole pulley should move and the bolt should not break loose) this will again give enough slack for the belt to slide off. Installation is the reverse, place the belt around all the pulleys and around the tensioner last.
Hope this helps: Rotate the drive belt tensioner clockwise and remove the drive belt To install: Accessory serpentine belt routing-Ford 4.6L, 5.4L, and 6.8L engines with A/Chow do you get serpentine belt off? - daf24f8.gif Accessory serpentine belt routing-Ford 4.6L, 5.4L, and 6.8L engines without A/C Please let me know if it's diesel because the routing is different.
