Hi,

If you bought the car originally from a Honda dealer, there is a way to obtain the code for free as Honda are one of the few manufacturers to provide online support to customers on this issue. Your original purchase of the car must be through the Honda network for the online help to work though.

For more information on this please view this FixYa Tip

If you bought your car privately or through a non Honda dealer, the other option is to try your local Honda dealer directly for the information. They will require the radio serial number. To get this press buttons 1 and 6 at the same time. The serial will show on the display after a few seconds. Many Honda dealers will provide the information for free over the phone unlike other manufacturers.

Hope it helps. Thanks for using FixYa.

Take the cars registration document into your local dealership and they can look it up for you free of charge.

Or you pay a codes company.

Radio code

When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect itagain, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft radio protection.
The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. Ifyou do not have this code you need to go to your Honda service centre andget them to enter this code for you.

Serial code on stereo

If you are needing the Radio Code because the radio is asking you for "Code" then for your year of car you should be able to take the serial number off of your registration or from the dash or drivers side b pillar sticker and a dealership can run the "VEHICLE" serial number and should be able to give you the radio code to get the radio to work again. No radio removal required.
