How do you attach a power drivers side mirror on a 1996 GMC Jimmy? Existing mirror was knocked from mooring. Wiring still attached and intact. Mirror controls still work. Plastic connectors are broken. Can see how wiring is connected but can't see how I would fasten a new mirrior to the car if I bought one.

When you open the door there should be a tringle trim cover at the rough place where the mirror joins to the car.

once you remove the trim (normally by popping it off or sliding it up or a mixture) there should be 2 or 3 nuts. remove the nuts and the hole wing mirror can be removed from the car. note sometime the connector behind the tringle trim cover or behind the door trim itself. be care when removing the wing mirror not to catch the wires

SOURCE: HAVE A 03 GMC SIERRA

I had the same problem in my wife's 2003 Yukon Denali. The power seats and passengers side window wouldn't work. Turned out to be a blown Buss Type fuse in the Underhood Fuse Block. It is the one marked MBEC 1 50amp. Hard to tell if the are blown so look very carefully. Should look like a hoop with two shiny solderlooking bubbles on either side. On my blown fuse, it caught my attention because it looked like the solder was missing and I had to look very closely to see the bottom of the "hoop" was open. They are very hard to remove and must be pulled straight up.
This type of fuse looks like a red square with a clear plastic top showing the fuse link under the plastic. On my vehicle it is on the top row second one from the left.

SOURCE: need to replace passenger side view mirror 200 GMC Jimmy Diamond

On my '97, there was a triangular shaped piece of plastic on the inside trim that had to be removed. I think all three mounting screws were under that. It's been a few years, but I think that was how it was done.
I remember it was pretty easy though.

SOURCE: Trying to re-mount the rear view mirror on a 97 Gmc Jimmy.

Try looking underneath the arm that runs from the mounting bracket to the mirror itself. You would be looking for a small allen or torx slotted screw. It will probably be metric if its an allen screw. I don't have anything that new so there is a possibility that it is covered with a piece of plastic molding which you should be able to pop off with a little patience and fiddling. Hope this helps.

The driver side mirror was broken off of my 1997 gmc jimmy. No wiring seemed to be broken so my husband reattached the mirror. Now tha chime goes off all the time unless you pull out the fuse. I need help...

Chime needs only a ground to work
So if that can help try to move the harness and look if chime work normally.
If it does then one wire touching the ground on and off (wire touching metal)

Hope it helps.

How to replace a driver side power mirror on a 1996 camaro?

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls and mirror. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror assembly onto the door

How to replace passenger side power mirror on 1998 ford ranger XLT? Hit another vehicle and knocked mirror off.

Then you can remove the bolts securing the mirror housing onto the door. (I assume that part is still intact).

If it's just the mirror piece and backing that fell out of the housing, then on the inside of the housing, you should see two to four clips that secure the pivot point and two rods that control the pitch of the mirror. You may be able to just 'jam' the mirror backing back in. But the rods need to be secured to the back of the mirror backing in order to prevent the mirror from just falling or moving on its own

Cannot locate where the a/c clutch cycle switch is... there is no power in the wires to the clutch and fuses are okay.

The a/c clutch is attached to the front of your a/c compressor. It is the part that your serpentine belt runs on. It is either engaged or not based on the demand of the a/c system. It will not run if it senses low pressure in the freon supply line so you might try having the system checked for proper fill before replacing the clutch.

I bought towing mirrors for 2008 silverado ltz but no instructions were supplied. How do I get to the wiring connections?

make your life easier. If your towing is not constant then save yourself the trouble and expense of permanently attaching large towing mirrors on your truck. Get the ones that temporarily attach to the existing mirrors and remove them when not in use. My silverado is already wide enough and a pain to park sometimes without any extra width added by side mirrors. Try stylintrucks.com for good selection.

Door panel removal 1995 GMC Jimmy

There are two screws under a cover at the bottom of your inside door handle and on your door latch. Other then that snap all the fasteners free from the door before you pull the panel, oh and have some silicon to re attach the plastic vapor to the door. Good luck

Drivers side mirror got knocked off

cheapest easiest way is to get a replacement mirror at a wrecking/junk/auto recycling yard. the mirror is generally attached by two to three bolts. to gain access there is usually a small panel over the mirror on the inside of the door.. gently pry that off
