My 2006 camry makes a chirp sound when i try to start it.my car wont start and im convinced that its not battery thats dead.what can be the problem>?

you blew a main fuse. (nothing works, that means you key on
and the large numbers of idiot lamps are all dead, including the CEL lamp (EFI is dead if CEL is dead, no spark or fuel happens with ECU/PCM dead.) so is it?
if CEL is dead, oil, charge and freinds, all dead, the fuse is blown
for cluster or the main under hood.
this is easy, 13v on bat... make this easy.

Im thinking your starter switch.

check to see if the battery is good..all connections are snug..there is power loss somewhere..if alarm is activated some will still beep others will chirp.. turn lights on and try to start the car..if lights go dead..battery is too weak to be any good..if new..put on charger..look at the charger guage.. 6 amp charger will show pegged needle when first plugged in if battery is good, then drop back to normal rate until full takes a few hours..check all connections..good luck..

Worn out dead battery

The first thing to check is the battery, if the battery is dead try jump starting it with another car or use another battery, if it then starts you should have the alternator tested, most autoparts stores do this at no charge, it may be that the alternator is not keeping the battery charged.

hopefully its a dead battery try jump starting it check connections on battery. (wiggle?) if they do clean and tighten.check fuses. if no start still starter might be bad .

Your battery is dead or needs charged. So, either the alternator is not charging the battery, or the battery needs replaced.

Better try getting a boost first. The starter takes far more power than all your lights and fans put together. After that you can determine what caused it to go dead.

there is a rubber pad on the brake pedal lever if the pad falls off it wont depress the brake light switch when the pedal is released check that first. replacement pads are available at your local dealer.
