Yep or the coil pack. try bring it to your local auto parts store and have them hook up odb2 diagnostic to it.Organises auto parts they do it for free in most states BUT you might have whats called a drivability/soft code and can be a bear to diagnose but good news GM owner most parts are dirt cheap and and a cooool fix. let us know how u do

Have the vehicle scanned. If you have a code in the computer for maximum adapt/ long shift, replace the EPC pressure control solenoid. This a real common problem on the 4t65e transmission.

Most often when an engine idles fine, but misfires under a load, the problem is spark plug wires. I suggest that's where you start.
