I have a 98 tacoma toyota truck 2.4 engine not start until you press just throttle high but almost not fail the pedal and start consultations fail seem to fail a lot to off fuel pressure but the well is 40 psi. wash and ultrasonic nozzles checked and press have 15 ohms of resistance and try to find it has but does not throw any fault code check and send the computer but did not work told me they had changed an injection driver but not working anymore check the voltages of all sensors tps oxygen maf iat ect idle valve engine compression is 120 psi fuel pressure sensor CKP sync engine and cmp giving me a voltage of 5-8 volts AC and the change from 2.5 to 5 volts of action that can no longer be in that light it up quite a while to warm up and measure voltages and oxygen sensors marked 0 volts but no fault codes remove the injector rail to see the pulse and pulse to turn is way too big and strong and changes over short and small constants hopefully could help me because I can not give this amioeta also check all the computer pin voltages per pin and all is well

timing chains rattle at start up HEELP!!!! <<<<< This Will NOT Set A Code And WILL Cause EP Engine Performance Problems, If the Timing Chain DEVIATES More than 8 Degrees it is NO GOOD for OPTIMUM Engine performance.
The Fact that you have NO CODES Lieves DIAGNOSING it Fairly Simple. Morning Starts (COLD START) is a CLOSED LOOP Condition and by the time it warms up it closes LOOP and the ECM takes over the Timing, and compisates for the LOOSNESS of the Timing Chain by ADVANCING / RETARDING the Timing. thus Good Running when Warmed up. Hope & I Wish you Good Luck with it.

In my 2005 Pontiac Montana the OBD code reader reads code PO108 - Manifold absolute pressure sensor circuit, high input. What can cause this.

The PCM detects that the MAP sensor voltage is more than 4.3 volts for 3 seconds.
This DTC may set due to poor idle characteristics. A possible cause may be uncontrolled fueling due to an open or high resistance in the HO2S 1 low signal circuit. Before replacing any component, ensure that this condition does not exist.
2
Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
Monitor the DTC information with the scan tool.
Is DTC P0641 also set?
--
YES - Go to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle
NO - Go to Step 3
3
Observe the throttle position (TP) sensor parameter with the scan tool.
Press the accelerator pedal slowly until the throttle is in the wide open position.
Release the accelerator pedal slowly until the throttle is returned to the closed position.
Repeat this procedure several times.
Does the TP sensor parameter increase steadily to more than the first specified value, and then decrease steadily returning to less than the second specified value?
98%
1%
YES - Go to Step 4
NO _ Go to DTC P0121

Start the engine.
Observe the MAP sensor parameter with a scan tool.
Is the voltage more than the specified value?
4.3 V
YES - Go to Step 6
NO - Go to Step 5

I have a 98 Toyota Tacoma with a 2.7 and an a/t when I take off from a stop in stumbles and if I go through a drive through and sit for about a min.it dies and has to sit for a min to crank back up

Lots of things could cause this, including but not limited to bad plugs/ wires, vacuum leak, bad/clogged catalytic converter, failing fuel pump, or a bad failing sensor etc if you have a check engine light i highly recommend you get the vehicle scanned before it stops running entirely. Autozone, advanced auto or o reilys will do this for free. record the codes and get them to me and i can advise you further

How can I change fuel injectors on a Toyota Tacoma 98 4 cylinder

The Toyota Tacoma has a fuel injector that mixes fuel with air. This technology almost completely replaced carburetors in the late 1980s and its programmable firmware allows the same hardware to be used with different fuels. A fuel injector is only a nozzle and a valve; it still requires a pump to inject the fuel into the engine.
    • 1 Determine which fuel injector your Toyota Tacoma will need. This depends not only on the make and model, but also the engine size. Models made before 2005 may have a 2.4L, 2.7L or 3.4L engine. The current version may have a 2.7L or 4.0L engine.
    • 2 Relieve the fuel system pressure and disconnect the negative battery cable with a socket wrench. Remove the engine under cover subassembly and drain the engine coolant. Detach the intake air connector and disconnect the throttle body motor assembly with a socket wrench.
    • 3 Disconnect the fuel lines and remove the fuel pressure pulsation damper assembly with a socket wrench. Unplug the electrical connectors for the fuel and vacuum switching valve. Remove the engine wiring harness clamp and the air conditioning compressor clutch connector with a socket wrench.
    • 4 Remove the two fuel rail mounting bolts with a socket wrench and lift out the fuel rail with the injectors still attached. Pull out the fuel injectors and discard the old gaskets.
    • 5 Use new gaskets and install the new fuel injectors by reversing the removal procedure.
    • 6 Fill the coolant reservoir with coolant of the proper grade and type. Start the engine and check for fuel leaks.

The last two mornings my Toyota Solera's gas pedal did not respond. the car started, I put it in gear but the gas pedal did not respond. Came back 2 to 3 hours later after it was warmer and I was able to...

1. never drive a car thru high water!
yes i have seen the throttle motors fail on the pickups
after fording deep water, cleaning it is a temporary fix at best.
there are other sensors in the throttle body assembly
that also fail when soaked with water.
replacing the assembly is the best fix.
