Do you mean upshifting starts way early? Going from 2nd to 3rd in other words?
Ireally don't know your transmission,but the alternator problem might've possibly spiked and hurt your shifting solenoids in the ******. don-ohio (:^)
Wow, That's odd ,push button shift I suppose . Ford doesn't have a 2nd gear limp mode ,I don't think. Has to be the manual linkage at the shifter,try manually shifting? still no low?
I was told by a Chrysler tech that it's the shift solenoid located in the trans. pan. There are 4 of them and you have to have it checked to see which one. You don't want to replace all 4. About $80.00 at a dealer! Mine does the same thing. 2004 Concorde lxi.
