Easiest approach is to change entire axle. Depends on car, but generally remove wheel, remove axle nut, loosen lower ball joint and separate wheel assy from a-frame. In some cases, tie rod end must be taken loose. Wheel bearing assembly must now be pulled out swinging about the strut to allow axel spindle to come out of the bearing. Once axle is out of the bearing, place a drip pan under the trans and pull the axle out of the trans. Reverse procedure to reinstall.

I'm hearing a clicking noise from front passenger tire when I turn

probably a bad passenger CV joint on the axle. You can purchase a completely rebuilt half shaft cheaper than you can replace one CV joint.

CV halfshaft will run you $75 at local autoparts store. Shop labor varies from shop to shop as well as their expertise.
The brake caliper has to be pulled, lower shock bolt removed, upper and lower ball joint seperated (book will say only one but it is not true) and steering knuckle and axle nut removed. CV joint simply unbolts at differential output flange.

Sounds to me like the CV joint is going bad.
If the little accordian like boot is torn or cracked it will get water and **** inside and go bad quickly. If it goes bad it will crack the boot in most cases. It the car has 80,000 miles or more on it you should have a mechanic look at both CV joints on each side of the car.
If any of the CV joints are bad you should change them all because you do about the same ammount of work and you get the whole drive system done right.
The CV joint is just a universal joint for a front wheel drive. As it gets worse it will transfer the vibration to the engine and transmition which will cause more problems right away so you don't want that to happen. You should have it checked right away.

Knocking sound

maybe cv joints. check cv boots to see if torn or look out for grease marks in the area behind front wheel. This would be more clicking noise though and not banging.
