2000 cadillac catera cranks but won"t start no power to fuel pump

Relay, on top of fuel tank under parcel shelf, check its getting power, if not its fuse, if it is, bin it get a new one.

Did you check fuel pressure at the injectors with a gauge before and after replacing the pump ?

COULD BE A RELAY , BUT I DO THINK IT IS A FUEL PUMP PROBLEM .. MORE LIKELY IT IS GOING OUT >> AS IT GETS HOT WILL STOP ..

if the engine starts for 1 or 2 seconds then dies I would replace the crank position sensor

SORRY TO SAY YES BUT YOU HAVE TO REMOVE FUEL TANK TO REMOVE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY.

Fuel pump is powered via the fuel pump relay, which get B+ from ignition switch.

turn ignition switch to the on position and let it sit for 15 min then try it

The crankshaft position sensor will do that for you. Have someone check the code, if you don't want to take it to the dealer, rent the computer from autozone( a little expensive, but you'll get your money back when you take it back) If it cranks, but does not fire( try to start) that is what it is. Many people mistake the issue for the fuel pump. It is a common problem with the catera and it is a pain to reach.
