I have never seem a PCM code that was 3 8 or 10. The codes for this vehicles OBDI system atart with 11.

code 12 is a normal code when the engine is not running. it means there is no distributor reference. When this code flashes during the key cycle, it is normal.

23-Intake air temperture sensor or circuit

41-Alternator field not switching properly

62-Emissions Maintenance Reminder (EMR) or PCM

code 12 - coolant sensor voltage to low

is engine light on. if so get code might cat conv not letting enough out. allowing to much backpressure

If you want to make this a "project car" what you want to do is to downgrade your driveline?
In order to do this (and actually have it work) providing that both bellhousings match up, you will need to study each system till you have a good working knowledge of each system, not in general, but what each wire does, where it comes from and what the differences in operation are (including all sub-system components). I'ts not impossible, but when finished, I'll bet you wind up with more expertise than most dealer techs on this subject! Only question I'd have is. what benefit is the swap??
