no engine told, and is a 100% engine question
no country told making the engine guess 10x more easy or no VIN and 8th digit is engine code.
3.5L RL? V6 (seen in USA?)
the steps are the same on all cars but 1,
the gain access step.
also 20 year old coolant is no good at all
drain all coolant
gain access to STAT
Disconnect any sensors or switches that may interfere with the removal of the thermostat from the housing.
remove STAT housing hose.
remove STAT housing, (unbolts)
remove STAT
put in new STAT , not a backwards and bleed hole must be upward side. with new SEAL
bolt it down. Hose back on.
Rad cap off
fill up coolant 50%AF (i uses Prestone ALL CAR)
burp out all air
cap back
drain out side tank and refill 1/2 way with 50%$AF
Do a Google search and also look on Ebay. Might take more than 1 day of looking since items change constantly. If you have any nearby wrecking yards look there too. I think 96, 97, 98 and maybe 99 share the same headlight assembly.
the best and safest way to remove this radio is with the special tools that Acura made specifically for removing the radio. Any radio store or best buy can easily remove it for you. I hope this helps please rate this and thank you.
1997 Acura 3.5 RL TCS LIGHT FLASHING AND LOSSING POWER. WILL NOT GO MORE THAN 10KMPH. I CHECKED ALL THE FUSES AND BRAKE FLUID. ACURA WANTS $200.00 JUST TO CHECK, NOT THE REPAIR.
This is a very BIG job the oil pan holds the differential and 1 axle runs through the pan. this job takes an experenced mechanic with a lift and proper tools over 8 hours to do. Not my favorate job thats for sure.
