The windows are controlled by electric window regulators. They are cable regulators with electric motors. They average in price around $100, new.
If your window is up, don't put it down until you have the regulator replaced. Otherwise you may end up stuck with the window in the down position and no way to get it up.

When operating drivers door electric window it makes a grinding screeching noise & gets stuck half way & have to close window by operating switch while pulling window up

If sounds like the window came off the window track & when it gets halfway up the window motor may start grinding. 1st try lubing the rubber window seals w/ white grease to see if that helps . if not remove the inner door cover & ck to see if the glass is firmly sealed to the track & lube all gears & motor gears . If window is out of the track a SPECIFIC ADHESIVE GLUE is made for it. Reset it in the track & re glue it in position .Don't forget to lude the edges & seals. GOOD LUCK, Frank M

Fix windows they wont go down any more,, fuses look ok

There can be several reasons. When you say you "fixed" the windows, it makes me wonder what was wrong with them before you started. The part inside the door is usually a window regulator. It has teeth to be moved by the gear on the electric window motor. The position of the regulator teeth is suppose to match the position of the window. If you imagine setting the window 1/2 open, then that is as far as the window will rise when the electric window motor cranks. The electric motor gear will only travel so many turns for each cycle of the motor switch.

Mixing motors on the wrong side of the car is something else that can go wrong if you change W motors. The W motors are not the same from front to front or rear to rear. They are often compatible diagonally (right front to left rear) (left front to right rear).

Finally, you can have a switch box for the auto up/auto down feature inside the door panels. You need to check for power at the W motor and then backtrack.

I cant locates side electric window fuse driver

It's position #14 in your dashboard fuse box. It's a 30 Amp circuit breaker, not a fuse. If your other windows work this isn't the problem. The circuit breaker protects ALL the window motors at the same time and will normally reset when it cools off.
If it's the driver side only a little troubleshooting here. Take the door panel off, disconnect the motor connection and see if there's 12v on the power side when you operate the window switch. If 12v is there, the gear set inside the motor is broken (replaceable parts) or the motor itself is shot, If 12v is NOT there my guess would be the switch if the other windows work.

  1. Slide a hammer shaft between the window guide and the assembly carrier until the end of the hammer shaft presses against the assembly carrier.
  2. Remove the screws and take off the window regulator motor.
To install:
  1. The gearing will move when the window regulator motor is removed; it is then no longer centered. The gearing must be aligned when the window regulator motor is installed until the window regulator motor is centered again.
  2. Installation is the reverse of the removal (see illustration).

I try to roll the window down and just here a click....

The motor has a gear,to repair the electric motor, this is what most of the time goes out ,also, napa has ,what they call gears that go in the gear, this is what most of the time gets chewed up,and it is cheaper to replace them, just remove the window motor and remove the gear, and clean out the old chewed up gear plugs, and replace them,I think about 9 dollars,if this was at all helpful, please rate, thank you.

I need to see how to change a window motor in a 1995 Chevy Camaro.

I'm sorry, can't contact with your chat request because I having other question open; I suggest check this proceduro for GM Camaro/Firebird 1993-1998 Repair Guide...

    Window Regulator and Regulator Motor
    REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
    (see Figures 1 and 2)
    1. Remove the door trim panel and inner panel water deflector.
    2. Raise the window to half-up position and hold in place by inserting a rubber wedge door stops at the front and rear of the window between window and inner panel.
    3. Remove the rear guide channel and inner panel cam channel.
    4. Punch out the center pins of the regulator rivets; then drill out the rivets using a 1 / 4 in. (6mm) bit.
    5. Move the regulator rearward and disconnect wire harness from the motor (if equipped). Disengage the roller on the regulator lift arm from glass sash channel.
    6. Remove the regulator through the rear access hole.
    ebf548d.jpg

Fig. 1: Front door window regulator mounting

CAUTION If electric motor removal from the regulator is required, the sector gear must be locked in position. The regulator lift arm is under tension from the counterbalance spring and could cause personal injury if the sector gear is not locked in position.
    1. Drill a hole through the regulator sector gear and backplate and install a bolt and nut to lock the sector gear in position.
    2. Using a 3 / 16 in. (5mm) bit, drill out the motor attaching rivets and remove the motor from the regulator.
    00f7a3c.jpg

Fig. 2: Locking the sector gear on the window regulator motor

    To install:

    1. To install the motor to the regulator. Use a rivet tool, J-29022 or equivalent, and install 3 / 16 in. (5mm) rivets or 3 / 16 in. (5mm) nuts and bolts. Remove the bolt and nut used to secure the sector gear in position.
    2. Place the regulator through the rear access hole into the door inner panel. If the electric regulator is being installed, engage the wire connector to motor prior to installing the regulator to the inner panel.
    3. Locate the lift arm roller into the glass sash channel.
    4. Using rivet tool J-29022 or equivalent, rivet the regulator to the inner panel of the door using 1 / 4 in. (6mm) 1 / 2 in. (13mm) aluminum peel type rivets (part No. 9436175 or equivalent). If the rivet tool is not available, use the following nut and bolt method:
      1. Install U-clips on the regulator at the attaching locations. Be sure to install the clips with clinch nuts on the outboard side of the regulator.
      2. Locate the regulator in the door inner panel. If the electric regulator is being installed, connect the wire connector to the regulator motor.
      3. Locate the lift arm roller in the glass sash channel.
      4. Align the regulator with clinch nuts to holes in the inner panel.
      5. Attach the regulator (and motor) to the door inner panel with 1 / 4 -20 x 1 / 2 in. screws (part No. 9419723 or equivalent) into 1 / 4 in. (6mm) nuts with integral washers. Tighten the screw to 90-125 inch lbs. (10-14 Nm) torque.
    5. Install the inner panel cam channel and rear guide channel.
    6. Remove the rubber wedge door stops at the front and rear of the window between window and inner panel.
    7. Install the inner panel water deflector and the door trim panel.

    Hope helps (remember rated this).

Driver side window wont roll up. All other windows go up and down..How can this be fixed with out costing an arm or leg..??

Power windows I take it, I would say you have a broken operating cable, costly repair because you have to buy the whole winder unit but they can sometimes be repaired with a little patience and invetiveness, I have repaired several (Crown Vic, Ford Probe and Mercury Maquis) using modified bike brake and gear shift cables.

How to repairdriver side window motor for a 1998

Assuming the window motor runs BUT doesn't move glass.......carefully remove the door trim. unhook electrical connectors, remove water shield plastic, access inside the door and locate motor,( pushing glass up if required)....now on the inner panel locate #3 DIMPLE marks, this is where the motor bolts are at...use a drill and drill thru slowly (drill for the size of socket you have).....CAUTION: place a block/bar/etc to keep the window from falling down and cutting your arm off when the motor is removed.... Now with the motor out, remove the cover at the gear, clean and remove the plastic gears, there are 3 round inserts (may be broken now) that needs to be replaced..purchase at your local parts store...kragen/napa/etc.... reverse steps to assemble...hope this helps you...be careful...GL
