Yes, I've seen a lot of comments on Mitsubishis also. Enough to know I don't want one. Too late to return it? Or determined to keep it?
Check for spark, check fuel pressure. Do you hear the pump turn on for 2 or 3 seconds with key on, not start? Have you tried the resetting with the pump temp sensor again?

My Pajero 1994 starts well in the morning and goes well, but after 30 minutes drive then stop, it wont start again until the next day or maybe two days later
Hi mate
In is possable you have a faulty coolant temp sensor.
This could be confirmed by having a diagnosis check done at a garage.
It might have 2 sensors fitted so if it needs them make sure you replace the right one
I had to take my car back to the dealership twice. First, they replaced the ignition switch. 3 days later, my car wouldn't start again. So I took it back and they called VW - VW said to replace the steering column module. I asked my dealer why they didn't replace the steering colum module first - they said that even if they had replaced that first, the old ignition switch would have shorted out the steering column module. Whatever.
$600 later my car has been fine for about 3 weeks now. If it happens again I will keep you posted.
Good luck!
hands on job iam afraid, could be anything from a housing to a core plug and everything inbetween, call a mobile mechanic and in 20 secs he will diagnose the problem
I experienced the same this last week to find out it was the coil pack. My technician replaced the coil, and told me that this was a common problem withe the 96 jetta.
