On a 2010 this is how you reset the maintenance due light. Turn the ignition switch to the on position to make sure it is showing odometer not trip (A) or (B) then turn ignition switch off. Hold the odometer button in while turning the ignition switch back to the on position (do not start the engine) and continue to hold until the odometer shows all zero's..oooooo then the maintenance due light should go off when the engine is started.
Your Toyota Tacoma has to be manually reset after an oilchange. Turn the key to the on position. Press the accelerator pedal to the floor and then release. Do this 4 times within 30 seconds or so. You will see the change engine oil indicator on the dash flash. After that the light will be reset.
Very easy. Turn the key to the on position without starting the truck. Press the accelerator down all the way 3 times and then on the 4th hold down until the display resets. Just that simple.
Thats the oil change reminder light. To reset this (U have to be fast doing this) turn the ignition on engine off.
