Pull the armrest vertically up. There is a slot in the armrest and a pin on the frame. You have to match these to pull the armrest off. Without a zipper it's a little more challenging. Some armrest have a little screw that keeps the armrest on the frame. The older models usually worked with the slot and pin.
I am assuming you are talking about the front center armrest here. You have to start by removing the back cover of the center console along with the vent louvres if equipped. I think this will expose two screws that you need to remove and the armrest will pull out. If you are trying to remove the armrest because the latching mechanism has gotten out of sync, you can fix that in the car. If that's the case let me know and I'll try to walk you through the repair process.
If you're finding it difficult to service/repair your car, get one of those online manuals. You'll not have to wait for others to answer, or rely on mechanics and all. Plus i know a website that has
very good manuals online, without expiry i.e. for lifetime. www.reliable-store.com
Most often this is due to a loose armrest mounting bolt or worn limit washer, unzip the cover and tighten the arm rest first, it is most likely a T45 Torx female bolt head AKA star drive.
If you are talking about the center armrest between the two front seats, the repair is easy. The plastic latch can be ordered for about $10 and replaced by taking apart the top lid assembly. I did it and it is not hard at all. Now if you are talking about the armrest compartment, that is one the I have not had any luck figuring out and have not found a solution to from anyone else. If anyone knows how to reattach the armrest please let me know. My e-mail is [email protected]. Thanks, Pete
Usually door panels are held on with a few screws (like in the armrest and maybe other places) which you can see, plus a lot a "snap in" fasteners all around the edge of the panel. These have to be very gently popped loose or they can break.
Try a very large slotted screwdriver under the edge of the panel to pry up the panel. You should be prying as close to the fastener as you can get.
