How much gas in tank when warning light is on

need to know if it is 4 or 6 cylinder

I'm almost certain it is inside the gas tank.In 94 the pumps were electric.

Do the warning lights come on the dash when you turn the key on ?

Do the headlights work ?

Sounds like the ignition switch going bad.

Replace the fuel sending unit in the fuel tank.

trhis problem is caused by a defective fuel gauge sending unit inside the gas tank.

This is a fuel system problem.

Check the fuel pump located in the fuel tank beneath the back seat, and the fuel filter located in the hood.

Open the hood and look near the firewall on the drivers side. You will see the black rubber cap on a plastic resevoir. There is a switch that turns on when the fluid level gets low. This may be your issue.

If dash lamp blub checks out to be good, the fuel tank sender located in the fuel tank is what triggers the lamp and is most likely in need of replacement.

This I believe is a daytime driving light indicator as it appears to only be on Canadian models
