it is located at the top of the arm the brake pedal is attached to, u may have to remove the panel under the dash to see it, below is a picture of your stop/brake light switch. color of switch may vary.
It's located near the transmission and engine, where they meet. Under the vehicle, driverside. It;s easy to replace and takes like 5 min. Your Jeep must be cutting off. If you can't find it let me know, and I have a manual on the Jeep, I will scan the picture and info, and send it to you through here or e-mail.
check the brake switch located on a bracket under your driver side, on top of the brake pedel check for power, if power depress on your pedal see if there's nopower on the other side of the switch then replace the switch. I think it is the switch.
call jeep and give them last 9 digits of your vin and ask for three things -Differential Type,Gear ratio, and Track lock- They will give you 1) Dana 35 or 44 2) Gear Ratio 3.31 or 3.73 3) Track Lock - yes/no
