Not sealant But get small length of rubber hose,,, small ,as in just larger than metal line then get two small screw band clamps cut the leak spot with bolt cutters QUICKLY insert hose on two ends of line with CLAMPS ALREADY ON HOSE screw them tight stop at service dest inform them of gas leak so they can take precautions.

they will ask fix or replace say FIX so they don't chage you $120 an hour shop time to bend fuel line hose to replace entire line... NOT necessary..old school repair if fine replace line is $$$ and not neccessary very little pressure in fuel line mostly gravity flow you may even say its more practical

Dont use rubber for a patch gas eats rubber in turn will get into your fuel system causing more problems, if the steel line only has a hole and the line is still good i would cut the bad part out and use a compression fitting they work great no clamps no tape it fixes it. 10 minute job . if you dont know what a compression fitting is here is one to look at. Ive added a video on how they work this video is for plumbing but it shows you how theywork. they are a great fix cheap to.

The only temporary repair on a fuel line that is advisable would be to purchase fuel hose and injector style hose clamps.Remove the leaking section and connect the hose to the ends you have cut out,These systems can really build fuel pressure so anything else will probably not hold. The suggested repair would be to replace the steel line with another steel line possibly a union if there is a good section of usable steel line that can be reflared.

Depending on what engine and which line is leaking if it is the return line it does not have much pressure but if it is the line that feeds the engine it can contain 30 to 50 psi of pressure.

What makes the fuel pump not kick on on a 92 Oldsmobile Cutlass

There is a red wire close to the battery in the front. It's not connected to anything. Apply positive voltage and that will run your pump for testing purposes.

The internet is filled with all sorts of OBD1 Code 44 info to read

Bad Egr Valve --letting unmetered air in
Vacuum Leaks in the Exhaust Before the O2 Sensor
Bad Oxygen Sensor or corroded wiring
Vacuum leaks anywhere
Fuel Pressure too low
& more

You'd have to tee into the fuel filter to use a fuel pressure gauge,
if you got no shrader valve on the motor

You changed a fuel pressure regulator-- in the throttle body?

You won't see much with a scope on that system, if you scope
the O2 Sensor, their sort of slow compared to OBD2

Is there a fuel switch on my 1993 oldsmobile cutlass ciera i can not find it anywhere i was in an accident and was wondering if there was a switch to reset it thanks

Depending on how and where the "Hit" took place, a fuel line may have been pinched shut. If there is a reset switch, it would be close to the fuel pump relay, or in the trunk behind the liner. If you can send more info I would be better able to help you pinpoint the fault.
Is fuel with pressure available at the throttle body or fuel rails?
Can you hear the pump running?
Does the starter rotate the engine?
Are you getting a spark at the plugs?
Is there an obstruction in the air intake snorkel?
Could there be a broken wire or vacuum line?

Hello Sandy. This is a dangerous problem that will result in a terrifying engine fire if you continue to drive. Please call a repair shop as soon as possible and tell them what is going on. You may have to have the car put on a flat bed truck to get it to a repair shop safely. Joe
