The manual says that the timing belt on my 2004 Saturn Vue V6 needs to be changed at 100,000 miles. Can I wait until it dies or is the Engine an interference fit with serious problems resulting if it...

I wouldn't,, recommended maintenance is in place for a reason,, and this repair is for a good reason, if the timing belt ( or chain) goes out,, damage can happen to the valves, and pushrods which mean added costs , leaving you stuck where ever it happens to go out,

Low side pressure was tested and was in alert. I drained some out until it read optimal. A/C blows hot, but fans and compressor are running.

This job requires special tools and special training. If you lack either, you risk SERIOUS personal injury. Injury comes VERY EASILY!

You need to address oil levels, proper and legal refrigerant recovery, system evacuation, and recharge.

You were planning to also replace the receiver/dryer, correct? It also needs the oil in it measured and incorporated into the amount of oil (in %) that would need to be added. FAILURE to address these and other issues will guarantee premature system failure and likely compressor damage.

Take this job to a qualified shop.

Sorry

I have a 2004 saturn vue when i apply the brakes my abs comes on

It sounds like one of your wheel sensors isn't working, and the ABS is thinking that one wheel is locked up, so it's activating ABS.
