Hi...my 2005 Saturn Vue (36000 miles) is dying on me. Everything starts with the lights of the dash board going off out of the blue, and then the car starts loosing power. I try to accelerate it but nothing, it dies. I immediatly turn it on again and, no proble, it works. I turn it off again, I park for 15 minutes and then the car starts running normally. Then...after a while, the same problem!...The repair man says he can't find any problem....what do I do??

    Thank you soooo much for your solution. Well, the engine light was off all the time and then it lit for like 15 minutes and went off again. Like I said its really weird, the car runs perfect and all of the sudden it goes weak and then 10 minutes later its working again....its really annoying...:(

I suggest that you take it to another mechanic, preferably one that specializes in electrical problems. It sounds like you have some type of electrical short somewhere and it will take some time to properly diagnose it. When the car is running, does the Check Engine Light stay on?

    If you can take your car to your local AutoZone store and let them hookup a OBD II (On Board Diagnostic II ) scanner to it and see if any Trouble Codes are stored in your car's Computer that might give a clue to as what is causing your problem. AutoZone does not charge for this service.

Battery light came on my 2004 saturn vue. We replaced the battery because it is six years old. light is still on and no air conditioning
WHEN THE BATTERY LITE COMES ON THE DASH IT IS TELLING YOU THE VOLTAGE FROM THE ALTERNATOR IS WORKING, TO CHECK THE ALTERNATOR WITH A VOLT METER ON DC WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING YOU SHOULD GET A READING OF 13.5 TO 14.5 VOLT WHEN YOU TEST THE BATTERY TERMINALS IF THE VOLTAGE IS LOWER THEN 13.5 VO0LTS YOU ALTERNATOR IS BAD

2006 saturn vue 4cl will start run few seconds dies will start again run a few seconds and dies again remote will not work and interior lights stay on fuel gauge stays on empty and tank is full i suspect...
With all the electronic's on vehicle's the first place to start would be to hook up a scan tool that can pull code's from all the modules on the vehicle ! The wrench light on ,code's are stored in the BCM ,body control module . If you don't know that your best bet ,take it to a qualified repair shop. Nothing your going to be able to do .

2005 Saturn Vue, no light in odometer, is odometer working?All other lights working on dash.
Hi:
the dash has seven or eight small bulbs illuminating the entire area, and approx 3 of them are for the speedometer/odometer area.

It seems odd that those are the first to go, but most likely the problem.
It often requires removal of the instrument cluster to swap bulbs. not too bad, but sometimes tricky.

Is your driving primarily city?
You may want to check to see if the clutch master cylinder reservoir is full. If it is not full you may have a leak or the clutch friction disk is worn. If the fluid is at the correct level, you might consider having the fluid flushed and refilled.

The lights on my dash board flicker on and off then turn off.
I had the same problem some time ago, lights would go on and off, odometer appeared to stop counting at times rpm gauge would work and then not... power steering would off and on work and head lights would blink on and off when in driving light mode (off position).. The fix for me was I had to have the dash computer replaced (about $500). After doing this around 50k miles ago all the gremlins seem to have remained gone.. Hope this helps

2005 Saturn Vue AWD 6 cylinder whistle
Hi all,
I currently own a 2005 saturn vue and also a 2002 saturn vue. My 2005 began making the same whistling sound around 36000 miles, I let it go and let it go. Finally it got so bad I could not deal with it any longer, I have a great mechanic and he automatically point out the carrier bareing I had it replaced and my car is very very peaceful...... :) Hope this helps.
