On a V-6, the firing order is 1-5-3-6-2-4. The engine is transverse mounted (sideways), so your number 1 cylinder will be on the passenger side front of the engine toward the grille. The Cylinders are numbered in the front as 1-3-5, and on the side of the engine toward the dashboard are the "even" numbered cylinders or 2-4-6. HOWEVER! The Distributor Cap's firing order is marked on the cap itself and is: 1-2-3-4-5-6. If you look inside the Distributor Cap, you will see the little "highways" that cause the Engine to still fire at 1-5-3-6-2-4.
Food for thought...to remove the Rotor under the Distributor Cap, you'll need to remove the bolt underneath it first. It's an 8 mm or 5/16". (they're both the same)
Hope this helps,
