The airbag light is on, ever and I don't know how reset it.

you need to check the SRS system for codes and fix. you will also have to delete the codes and reset the system.

problem with airbags is dealership fix.most time see airbags light flashing the airbags self diagnosis has spot a problem.dealership has to code scan see what causing airbags light to flash.

The airbag (AKA SRS system) light has no reset when it comes on there is a problem in the system, when the fault is fixed the light will go off.

bags are complex tech.
there is no reset, but you can pull the battery neg lug
for 5 to 15minutes. and then try.
the air bags have huge caps in side that hold a huge charge.
just pull it , watch TV , then go back and put it all back and pray.

Hard to give you ideas on what the problem is without checking to see what the codes are in the airbag control module.

If the light is on but the computer shows no fault then it maybe an issue where you tapped into that as a power source you were looking for. try disconnecting the battery negative terminal for 60 seconds then reconnect and see if that resets everything. This assumes you don't have a switch that turns that airbag off that just needs to be reset. Doing the disconnect on the battery may reset that switch as well. I know some vehicles in the year were equipped with a switch to turn the airbag on the passenger seat off as it was an issue of safety for some occupants at the time, I am not sure if your vehicle had such a switch or not but it would be listed in the Owners manual if it does.

there is a problem detected with in the srs system(air bag circuit) that you need to have the code pulled to know what set the light.while the light is on you have no air bag system working as the computer to this system shuts it down until the light is out.this needs to be checked and repaired for your safety and anyone that rides with you.your insurance company may not cover you if this is not fixed(possibly),every company is different.

reset by code reader but you may have a problem warning lights dont come on for nothing also if you have seatbelt restraints these are connected and it may be one of those, hope its of help.

Some vehicles you can disconnect the battery for 10-20 mins and it usually resets a check engine light. But the airbag light is different. This means there is something wrong with the airbag system and it will not go out until maintenance.
