Bank 1 is always the side with the #1 spark plug, and in your case it is the right or passenger side, and it will be the first O2 sensor in the exhaust system either on the passenger side exhaust manifold itself, or it will be just after the passenger side exhaust manifold, and before the catalytic converter.

What do code p1131 mean on a Lincoln Continental 2002

Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch Sensor Indicates Lean Bank 1
In simple terms, it means the engine computer is not "seeing" the O2 sensor switch from rich to lean like it should be doing.
When the O2 sensor switches to lean the computer makes the injectors open more to let in more fuel, until the sensor switches to rich.

4.6l engine. What is firing order?

Found this firing order.
As far as the sensor, you talking about 02 sensor? Bank one has the number 1 cylinder, bank 2 is the other bank, sensor 1 is the first sensor you come to, in the exhaust.

REPLACE BANK 2 o2 SENSORS 1996 CONTINENTAL

bank 1 and bank 2 refer to the positioning of the sensor on the car, bank 2 just means the second one, so if you start out at your exhaust manifold and inspect the piping going back, the second O2 senor you find will be the one you need to change, it will likely be around or near the catalitic convertor.
