Where is the fuel filter on the 2007 Saturn VUE

Andrew Taylor has no clue , it's located in side the fuel take and is part of the fuel pump module . The fuel filter (1) is located in the primary fuel tank module. The paper filter element traps particles in the fuel that may damage the fuel injection system. The filter housing is made to withstand maximum fuel system pressure, exposure to fuel additives, and changes in temperature.

2003 saturn vue 2.2 ecotec engine not starting replaced primary and secondary fuel pumps and fuel filter . Still no start hooked up innova scanner and got a code of p0117 cleared it still no start but code...

Clearing a code doesn't fix the problem.

How do I check the timing on a 2003 Saturn Vue? Engine is 3.0L and will attempt to start but doesn't sound like firing on all 6 or timing is out?

there's no adjustment, unless you have a scan tool then you can see it. Information not supplied by the manufacturer.

2002 Saturn Vue V6 AWD sounds like an F1 car when i drive it. Very loud constant noise. Checked trans fluid and it was fine.

I have a 2002 saturn vue. Same thing..sounded like a jet engine ...loud humming as I accelerated . It got increasingly worse. It turned out to be the front wheel bearings. Replace them, now the noise is half as loud...have to do the rears also! 93,000 miles on it. Also, don't forget to replace the timing belt. It it goes too long and breaks, it will trash the engine...

Fuel system

Have a mechanic do a fuel system pressure check. You are probably having a problem with your primary and secondary fuel pumps. This should show up as a problem with a code scan, but sometimes it doesn't show at all.

The primary fuel pump is located in the left side of the tank. If you fill the tank up and it still does not start then it is the primary tank. Problem is that now you will have to drop the tank with a full tank of gas. The primary pump is used to pump the fuel to the fuel rail, while the secondary pump is used to pump fuel from the right side of the tank to the left side. I usually replace both primary and secondary so I don't have to pull the tank again if the secondary is also bad.

Are you sure you have a fuel pump problem? What are your symptoms?

how can you tell which fuel pump is messed up?
can you use the secondary in place of the primary if it goes out or do you have to replace the primary?
