SOURCE: Suzuki Grand Vitara Oil Filter Replacement Disaster
Four or six cylinder engine and behind or front of the oil filter? Looked under my GV 2007 2.7 V6 and can not locate a shiny metal box next to the oil filter. Only thing that was shiny was the exhaust manifold and oil sump which are quite hard to break or puncture. If it was the oil sump you will have to remove it and get it welded as a bog will not hold on heated engine parts.
SOURCE: Oil light comes on at certain times
You did check the oil level parked on level ground right? My guess is that your level is either low, or your sensor/oil pressure switch, is getting too sensitive, and may need to be changed. Unless you've changed grade of oil lately. When you stop, your oil in the pan, shifts forward in the pan & starves the oil pick-up momentarily, so if your switch/sensor for oil pressure looses pressure too much during that time, it turns on the light. If your due for an oil & filter change, have it done & make sure it's up to full mark on level ground. If that doesn't cure it, I would change oil pressure switch, oil sender, or oil pressure sensor, whatever it is referred to on your vehicle.
SOURCE: engine oil mixed in coolant
this would more than likely be cause by a bad cylinder head gasket. I would bet 89% this is your problem.

SOURCE: coolant leak on back side of engine. 94 susuki sidekick 4cyl 4x4
The back side of the cylinder head has metal fitting/pipe connected to a hose that goes to the heater system inside the cabin, the hose sometimes cracks off just behind the clamp holding it to the metal fitting/pipe.
