    it can't be reset until the problem that turned it on is corrected.

The short answer is no.
The air-bag warning light came on. Something has gone wrong and warrants a look to see what has happened. You would need to buy a special scan-tool to look at the live data, at stored codes, and after the repair is done, then reset the air-bag system.
Please don't tamper with the yellow connectors unless you know what to do. Static charge can set off an air-bag.

I have a 2003 Dodge Dakota quad cab. The Red airbag light comes on intermittently, code P1200, I replaced the clockspring. Still having the same problem. Unable to find much info or diagnosis info.
It is worth knowing the airbag light is mostly the SRS light which means any active seatbelt pretensioners are part of the Supplementary Restraint System and are monitored, switching the light on if a fault is detected.

its probably the kickdown cable look under the hood its the cable that runs next to the throttle cable see if there's alot of slack or if its too tight and not letting it release all the way.

You can find them on the internet refurbished, or get one from a salvage yard. Be aware though that if your truck has the factory alarm, you will need to have one from a donor vehicle that also has one. They cannot be interchanged.

Go to a local parts store and have them load test your altenator and battery. If they check out ok, check out your battery cables esp the ground.
