Sometimes but not always, the piece on the brake pedal that touches the brake light switch to turn off the light will get bent away from the switch so its not touching it. Check to see if it is touching the switch, pull the pedal toward you and see if the lights go out. If they do go out then 2 things may have happened. (1) The metal bracket is bent and not touching, which you can bend back into place. (2) Some vehicles have what you call a return spring that connects to the dash and runs to the pedal to pull it back toward you to turn off the lights. If you see a spring dangling under the dash, then you'll need to replace that spring. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Demetris.
WARNING: Asbestos fiber dust may be present on brake and clutch assemblies and is hazardous to health if inhaled.
Brake and clutch assemblies should be cleaned using a vacuum cleaner recommended for use with asbestos fibers such as brake/clutch/service vacuum. The bag must be labeled per osha instructions, sealed, and the trash hauler notified as to the bag's contents.
If a vacuum suitable for asbestos is not available, cleaning should be done wet. If dust generation is still possible, technicians should wear government-approved toxic dust purifying respirators.
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2.Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
3.Remove the W-spring.
4.Remove the M-spring.
5.Remove the disc brake caliper locating pins (2B296).
6.Remove the front disc brake pads and shims from the disc brake caliper (2B120).
7.Compress the caliper piston completely into its BORE
NOTE: Apply a thin layer of Silicone Brake Caliper Grease and Dielectric Compound D7AZ-19A331-A Motorcraft WA-10 or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESE-M1C171-A to both sides of the perforated shim only.
Take tires off then inspect rear brake shoes if okay and not down to the metal service the drums with sand paper and put them back on you might have to replace the drums and shoes!
Suspension Strut: Service and Repair Removal and Installation REMOVAL 1. Remove the package tray trim panel. 2. Remove the upper strut and spring assembly nuts. 3. Raise and support the vehicle. 4. Slide the brake hose clip off and position the brake hose aside. 5. If equipped with anti-lock brakes, remove the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) sensor bracket bolt. 6. Remove the lower strut and spring assembly bolts and the strut and spring assembly. INSTALLATION 1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
sounds like you need new brake pads and the rotors atleast turned down if not replaced
the pads should stop the noise and the rotors should stop the vibration/wobble
thanks wes
ps please rate me
look for 2 bolts or pins that go right thru the calipers, they actually retain the pads, normally the heads will be on the back side of the caliper. take them out, there may be thin metal clips (springy) on top of the pads. remove them too. slide out pads working the caliper back and forth to loosen them up. open up fluid resevoir then with a large screwdriver push the brake piston back so as to be able to get new pads it, bolt it all back and your are done.
pull the pins out. the clips hold them in place. use a large screw driver and seperate the pads from the rotors. pushing them away from the rotors to make room for the new ones. good luck
To change these pads is simple. You first should wash down the area with brake clean so you don't inhale the dust. Then they are to pins that go through the top of the pads and the caliper. (This Caliper has pistons on bothsides) You them remove the metal clips that hold those two pins. with a needle nose pliers. after removing the clips you will be able to remove the two pins and remove pads. Using the old pads in place you can then push back the piston to make room for the new pads.
