Like answer #1, when I bought my 1993 Jeep Cherokee, one of the first things I ended up doing was go to & join the
cherokeeforum.com, i.e. cherokee-forum-dot-com....
I've found that whenever I need advise, or answers to any questions with my vehicles, I look for the forum for that vehicle. 99.9% of the time the folks in the forums give you honest answers..... I even subscribe to a few YouTube Channels, like the one for my 93 Cherokee. That guy is not only smart when it comes to 1990s-2000s Jeep Cherokee's/XJs, he's always doing some sort of repair or modification to one of his Cherokee's or Grand Cherokee's..... Hope this helps all you Jeep XJ Folks out there....
No , can't be the relay , by looking at a wiring diagram the power outlet has different supply voltage . Fuse 1 25 amp is for power outlet an cigar lighter use's fuse # 2 25 amp. Free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free-tsb/ Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine size. Under system click on interior & driver amenity, then under subsystem click on cigar lighter . Click the search button , then the blue link. Looking at the diagram you will see they have different fuse's. Something up stream from there is blown . Need to look at electrical distribution diagrams. Go back to system an click on electrical distribution then under subsystem click on power distribution . Click the search button then the blue link. Scroll down to the # 6 diagram . You will see fuse # 4 50 amp location is under hood fuse box . Check that fuse .
The position and function of the fuses is normally marked on the inside of the fuse box cover and also in the owner's handbook. If you are looking for a blown fuse and you don't come right with the above, work your way through the fuses looking for a blown one. It is not a difficult task, especially with a small pair of pliers.
you should be able to find out what that fuse is by looking under the cover for those fuses. you should see a diagram with explanation for what each fuse is for. or look in your owners manual. or buy a chilton repair manual from a parts store. good luck.
YOUR PCM IS BLOWN! happend to me as my Rear o2 sensore got caught up in my driveshaft. Shorted my pcm. Your PCM is located, if looking under the hood, very back, on the left. By your overflow. Trust me.... :(
