I have a 2000 SL2 and the a/c stopped working. I went to Pepboys and they confirmed that the clutch is bad. Fine. I bought a replacement clutch and installed it about 2 hours ago. Recharged the system with kit that I purchased. The psi is around 35psi. When I turn on the a/c the clutch does not engage. Any ideas of what it could be?

SOURCE: My 2000 Saturn SL2 will turn over but won't start
well sitting here in spain ,i have never seen a saturn only on the tv launching the spàce shuttle, but from the symptoms you describe ??if its car then its a number of things but i would be inclined to clean contacts on everything from the fuse ,relay, pump wiring connector on the fuel sensor assembly and put a bit of grease on all of them.If problem persists then remove the fuel sensor unit from tank and check wires from connector block to pump .If it still takes na few turns of key for pump to work then renew it .and the best of british with the spae rocket
SOURCE: belt tensioner assmebly went bad
Take the Right hand front wheel off, remove the plastic splash panel. Obviously, first remove tne belt. the tensioner should be slightly up in the wheel opening. Remove the pully, center bolt, remove the bolts attaching the tensioner asm. Local autoparts store should have replacement for around $30.00. Replace follow instructions backwards. While at auto store reference saturn manual for torque to tighten bolts when replacing. Do not over torque into aluminum block.

SOURCE: 1992 saturn sl2 battery drain
I have one that has a leaky injector that floods one cylinder if it sits more than a few days. hold the pedal to the floor until it fires and see if you can get it to smooth out. My guess is the alternator as well. I think you got bilked on the battery...
