04 cavalier car stalls and wont rev over 2k trouble code po108

Check coil #3 on v6 and #4 on v8. Usually the coil closet to passenger read side of engine. You probably dont feel a misfire, but put the car in drive and firmly hold brakes down. Rev to about 2k or 3k rmps. If it stutters thats your issue.

Faulty map sensor or vacuum hose leak going to map sensor or a short in the wiring to map sensor.

ok, I highly doupt it is a crank sensor problem. normally when a carnk sensor fails, the vehicle will stall and wont start back up for a long period of time. the firat thing that needs to be done, is to have the system scanned for trouble codes. thiswill tells us what might be going on. I suspect a problem with the idle air control module or a dirty throttle body. most parts stores will scan your vehicle for free. if you can get the system scanned for trouble codes, and let me know what code is in the system we should be able to help with this problem.

Your lockup torque converter is bad I believe. When you shift from Park into any gear it will die.

Hi,you need to get the codes read first this will probably show an intermittent problem with the accelerator pedal position switch,if not check for air and vacumn leaks to all the actuators ,the fuel pumps are know for internal failure if you use bad fuel,

the pcm may have a cracked board, i had an 88 cavalier z24 with the same problem, replced the ecu and it ran fine, the problem is that the boards inside the pcm crack and lose connection, the next time it acts up open the glove box and try tapping on the pcm, if the car responds at all, the pcm is bad

PO108 (map circuit high input) MAP is manifold absolute pressure... a sensor normally mounted on the intake. your code is suggesting a problem with this sensor, or its circuitry.

DEFINITELY change the filter...It's only about ten times past its useful life. Then check fuel pump, pump relay and fuse. (doubt if you'll have to!!)
