The tag lights run off the same circuit as the tail lights, if you have tail lights, and the only light out is the tag light, it's the bulb.
If no tail lights also, check the fuse for the tail lights.

1998 Ford Expedition rear break lights not working

check fuses. if all good there i would use a test light to check power to brake light switch on pedal. should be two wires. one will be hot all the time and the other will be hot when brakes are applied. if you have power there and no lights still i would suspect multifunction switch is bad on steering column.

I need to no which fuse is for the tail lights n a 1998 ford expedition.

most fuse box covers has underneath them the covers the fuse diagrams in them but also if you have a manual for your car that it should show you there as well. You can go to autozone to buy real cheap the manual that shows all your fuses to the car.

II have a 1998 Ford Expedition and the tag lights are INOP. I have replaced the bulbs but they still aren't working.

please check the relay & fuse box area under your hood on the drivers side of your vehicle. on some models, there could also be a fuse box located under your instrument panel on the drivers side. hope that this information has been helpful to you.

Need to replace the fuse for the license plate lights on 1998 Ford Expedition. What number is the fuse?

Hi,

Fuse # 4 (5A) in the fuse panel powers the Park Lamp circuit.

If the fuse is ok, then you'll need to inspect the relay, or check for a short in the circuit.
