SOURCE: Interior lights on climate clontrol knobs don't work

After showing the dealership this site and the problems that others have had. I insisted that they take a look at it and solve the problem. FINALLY, they admitted that there are lights and that basically it is a pain to fix because they need to order a new module. After one day in the shop, I now have lights for the climate controls in my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. Do not let them tell you that it only is an option with the Limited. It is just flat out FALSE. I was so frustrated with my dealership because this is shady if you ask me, but they did fix it free of charge. Do your research, call JEEP themselves, and provide the dealership with facts and they should fix it. It's ridiculous how much work I had to do to get them to admit that the Laredo also had the option, but it failed. Don't back down!!!!!!!

How to change a climate control knob on Jeep grand Cherokee 2000

are you certain its the control knob ?? the heater may be bad...

you remove the part of the dashboard with the control on it, there are hidden screws i the glove compartment and in the pocket. Remove the pocket to reveal them. The rest are under the dash and under the rubber plugs if any).

once you have it dropped you can then replace the control unit.

Air conditioning only blows out from drivers side of my 2005 jeep Cherokee

apparently it is dual climate control. most common failure is the blend door actuator motor has gone bad on the passenger side. however it could be the door in the HVAC box has broken or the control head is bad.
