Sunroof won't move back in response to the back button
My Vue has an after-market Webasta Hollandia 700 sunroof. Last year it developed a strange problem that I can't diagnose. There are 5 buttons: Presets 1 and 2, C (close), forward and reverse.
Pressing 1 or 2 move the sunroof the either of 2 preset positions. C closes the sunroof from any position. The forward button will move the roof forward to the closed position or up into the vent position. If the sunroof is in motion, pressing any button will interrupt it.
All of the above is normal.
What it won't do is move when the reverse button is pressed.
Now, since the roof can go into the 2 preset positions, and can be closed again, the motor obviously is working forward and backward so that seems to eliminate that as the problem.
That would seem to leave the reverse switch as the culprit, but here's the strange catch: if the sunroof is in motion, pressing the reverse button will interrupt it - as it should - but this also indicates that the unit is ''seeing'' the switch (ie. the switch is not defective). So, if the sunroof controller knows when reverse switch is being pressed and if it's quite capable of moving the sunroof back when the presets are used, why doesn't it move back with the reverse switch is pressed?

What about saturn vue sunroof wiring ? U want a wiring diagram ? Not working at all ?
The power sunroof system consists of the following components:
• Sunroof module
• Sunroof motor with limit switch
• Sunroof switch
• Sunroof glass, tilt/slide type, with glass sliding between roof and headliner
• Sunshade
• Rail and track assembly upon which the sunroof glass rides
• Sunroof system fuse: sunroof 20 A fuse
• Ground G401
1. Place the ignition switch in the ON position.
2. Push and hold the sunroof switch toward 2 . Once the sunroof has reached the full tilt position, release the switch. Push and hold the switch toward the 2 position again. After a delay of four seconds, the sunroof will make a small movement and backup.
3. Release the switch.
4. Within 5 seconds of releasing the switch, push and continuously hold the switch toward 2 . The sunroof will move from the tilt position to the open position and back to the close position.
First, were the fuses that you replaced the first BLOWN sunroof fuse with the same size? Example, 5 or 10 or 20amps...I am going to assume they were the same or you probably would have burned up the sunroof motor or just blown the replacement fuse real quick. Can you help the motor by pressing the palm of one or both of your hands against the inside of the sunroof glass and push the sunroof button while trying to help the sunroof slide back with your hand or hands. (Obviously if you use both hands someone else will have to push the sunroof button unless you have an extra arm and hand) If it slides back with the help of your hands, either the sunroof is sticking against the slide or the motor is worn down and just doesn't have enough strength to move it anymore. You could try to use a light coating of oil on the slides where the sunroof touches as it slides back and forth. Something like WD-40 preferabley but you could even use any motor oil, worst case "Cooking Oil". Good luck with my suggestions!!
Mine did the same thing...took me 8 years to figure it out without having to pay for a repair at a shop. When it lifts the centimeter on its own, push up on glass with your hand with moderate pressure till it frees up, then just push the button towards the rear of the car and it should open the sunroof completely! How i now have to open mine but its awesome after 8 years and Ill work with that...
Some customers may comment that the sunroof will no longer respond to the control switch while in a vented, partially opened, or fully opened position.
Cause
A software issue with the sunroof control module may cause the sunroof control module to incorrectly indicate a "closed" position, which may result in no power to the sunroof motor.
Correction
Verify the customer concern. If a condition is present, replace the sunroof control module with a new sunroof control module, P/N 15847643. Refer to the Service Procedure in this bulletin.
Service Procedure
Verify the customer concern by opening and closing the sunroof.

If the sunroof will not open , check the power windows.

If the power windows are also inoperative, check the fuse. If the fuse has opened, refer to Corporate Bulletin Number 05-08-64-004 to install 30A circuit breaker.

If the power windows are fully functional, refer to "Power Sunroof Inoperative" diagnostics (SI Document ID# 1392967) in the Body section of the 2005 Chevrolet Equinox or Saturn VUE Service Manual.

If the sunroof will open (or is already open), but will not close , proceed to Step 2.
Replace the sunroof control module. Refer to "Sunroof Control Module Replacement" procedure in the Body section of the 2005 Chevrolet Equinox Service Manual (SI Document ID# 1196049) or Saturn VUE Service Manual (SI Document ID# 1710479).
Open and close the sunroof in order to confirm that the customer concern has been resolved.
